On my way to Show Up

Afgelopen dagen werd in Amsterdam de derde editie van ShowUp gehouden, ‘n tradeshow voor Home&Gift accessoires, waar vooral kleine, vernieuwende ondernemers hun producten presenteren aan detaillisten,inkopers, pers en stylisten. Een plek om inspiratie op te doen en mensen te ontmoeten op een geweldige locatie in Amsterdam Noord, direct aan de overkant van het IJ bij het Centraal Station. Op zo’n mooie, zonnige dag als gisteren een heerlijk uitje om met het pontje over te varen!

Dat mensen alweer zin in de lente hebben, was duidelijk te merken op de beurs: overal kleine –en grotere- bloemen en boeketjes te bespeuren. Altijd leuk om verrassende producten te ontdekken, op ’t moment vaak voorzien van grafische mini-prints in (felle)pastellen of gecombineerd met zwart-wit lijntekeningen

Je krijgt vanzelf zin om ook iets nieuws te beginnen – of zou dat ook een beetje het lentegevoel zijn..?

These past 2 days the 3d edition of ShowUp Amsterdam took place, a Dutch tradeshow for Home&Gift, where small, refreshing entrepreneurs show their lovely new products to buyers and press. A place to find inspiration and meet people in a wonderful location in Amsterdam North, on the other side of the river IJ, straight across Central Station. On a beautiful day like yesterday it was lovely to go across by ferryboat!

Spring was in the air: small flowers and vases everywhere! It is fun to discover new and fresh products, at the moment decorated with lots of graphic mini-prints in (bold)pastels or in combination with black&white drawings. You feel like starting to design something yourself – or is this springfeeling to blame..?
